American-Standard Fixtures - The Standard For Fixtures For Bathroom Renovation

I recently refurnished my home & let me tell you, it was messy. Specifically the plumbing. I do not care what anybody says - it's supposed to be simple work and simple, but it simply isn't half as easy as it's supposed to be. When we applied it with American-standard faucets & American standard toilets, we were plagued by all sorts of difficulties. The American standard taps did not seem to fit the piping we had at the start, & we were continuously beset by leaks that threatened to ruin the floor. The American standard toilets wouldn't set on the floor properly, and so we had to use the bathroom sitting side-ways for a whole week, and hold fast to the shower curtains for support. I'll tell you, trying to install our American standard taps and American-standard toilets gave us an American standard mess.

It wasn't truly about the American standard taps and American standard toilets, but more about the lay-out of the pipes. They were old pipes, & we even suspected there may be lead solder in them, which is a frightening thought. The brand-new pipes were of a different size which was more properly callibrated to the American standard faucets & American standard toilets, but they would not correctly fit in the holes made for the old pipes. So we had the issue of the American standard taps, toilet, tub, and other fixtures not fitting precisely with the plumbing which, it does not matter how hard we tried to jury rig it, prompted leaks. Our fabric shower curtains were sitting in dampness on the floor.

Of course, even without the difficulties with the American standard faucets, we would have truly had a lot of difficulty. American-standard faucet or not, you really can not do any-thing about the hard water if you live in a country community like ours without installing expensive & hard to operate, water softener system. Before we did that, our shower curtains were crunchy and stiff as if we had starched them. & American standard taps, and American standard toilets & tubs do nothing for you if your water pressure is abyssmal, which trust me, ours is. So what should have taken nothing more than a week or maybe 2 ended up taking us months and months & while we struggled to install our American standard faucets, the bills kept piling up. Installing our American-standard plumbing was a nightmare, & ended up costing us much more than it would have to simply hire some-one to do it. Next time, if God forbid there's a next time, we are hiring someone to fix our American standard taps and plumbing.
